No question is a bad question when it comes to protecting your home. Here are some of the commonly asked questions we receive about our services:
- Where are you guys located? And what locations do you serve?
We are located in Florida. The areas we serve include St. Augustine, Port Orange, and Port Charlotte.
- How fast will you be able to come out if I schedule an inspection?
Once you schedule a roof inspection, we will be out ASAP! We are unable to do inspections during inclimate weather, but as long as weather permits we are typically able to be out there within a few days.
- If I have a roof leak, will I need a full roof replacement?
Not always. A roof leak can be coming from one weak spot on your roof. If this is the case, we are able to patch the area and repair it while the rest of your roof stays. However, each situation is different and a lot depends on the age of your roof.
- I was hit with a hail storm, but I don’t see any damage. Why do I still need an inspection?
Hail damage can be near impossible to see from the ground! Hail will leave dents on your shingles that can lead to further damage down the road. The dents break down the barrier on your shingles and can loosen the shingles on your roof. This can lead to water getting into your home or a space for critters to enter. If hail damage is caught soon enough, we are able to replace the damaged shingles on your roof before it leads to any damage inside of your home.
- Does my whole roof need to be replaced if I have hail damage?
Depending on the extent of your damage, often hail damage can be fixed without a full roof replacement. If you act fast and schedule an inspection, we are typically able to replace only the damaged shingles to repair your roof. If the hail damage leads to further problems including rotting on the roof or a leak in your home, then you could be looking at more repairs.
- How long will asphalt shingles hold up? Do they fade from the sun in Florida?
Asphalt shingles can last between 20-25 years. The best way to get your roof to last this long is to stay on top of yearly maintenance. Even with the strong Florida sun we still recommend asphalt shingles. Their color will hold up well and they have great wind resistance.
- How often should I get my roof inspected?
Your roof should be inspected at least once a year. If you see damage or you have been hit by a bad storm, then we encourage you to call and schedule an inspection.
- What roofing materials do you guys specialize in?
At Roof Pros we have experience working with asphalt, metal, cedar shake, tile, slate, and flat roof.
